Food technologist gets 30 months in prison in Remedia affair

The Petach Tikva Magistrate's Court sentenced Frederick Black, quality and technology food manager at Remedia, to 30 months in prison after he was convicted of negligent manslaughter of four babies for not revealing that the baby formula was deficient in vitamin B1.
Remedia CEO Gideon Landsberger, who was found guilty of violating standards, was sentenced to three months probation and a fine of NIS 10,000 (about $2,700). (Raanan Ben-Zur)
