Court convicts Eritrean for raping 83-year-old

The Tel Aviv District Court convicted an Eritrean foreign national of raping an 83-year-old woman in south Tel Aviv about three months ago.

The court was supposed to hear Thursday the woman's testimony, but the accused decided to confess and claimed he was drunk when he performed the crime. The Prosecutor's Office is expected to ask for a long jail sentence. (Naama Cohen Friedman)
