Obama said that: "The days of peace with autocratic governments are over; peace needs to be made with people. No single step can change what lies in the heart of millions, no step will erase the years of propaganda… but peace with Palestinians is a good step, sidelining extremists that thrive on conflict.
"The US will oppose unilateral steps that attempt to bypass negotiations in the UN." He then added that "neither occupation nor expulsion is the answer." (Ynet)
