Cyprus: Hezbollah activist convicted of planning attacks on Israelis

A Cypriot court convicted a 24-year-old Lebanese man who was a member of the Hezbollah organization of involvement in planning of terror attacks against Israelis in the country. His punishment is expected to be 14 years in prison and will be determined at the month’s end.

 

The man, Hossam Taleb Yaacoub, testified that he was paid $600 monthly by the Hezbollah for reporting on the landings of Arkia planes in Larnaca. (AFP)
