Health minister to reconsider ban on gay men's blood donations

Health Minister Yael German has asked her staff to review a section in the blood donation questionnaire which asks male donors whether they had sex with men since 1977.
In Israel, as in most countries, blood donations from homosexuals are rejected due to the high percentage of HIV infection among gay men. (Itay Gal)
