Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon visited an army outpost near the Syrian border and commented on the situation there: “We are not going to get involved as long as our interests are not harmed. When it harms our interests, we will act,” Ya’alon said.
Regarding the possibility of chemical weapons falling into the wrong hands, Ya’alon said, “Our interest is obviously that they do not find their way to a place where they cold a threat to us, like Hezbollah in Lebanon. We have acted in the past and we will continue to do so if necessary.” (Maor Buchnik)
