A survey conducted by the Center for the Wellbeing of Holocaust Survivors on some 500 holocaust survivors revealed that 19% of survivors admit to giving up food because of economical hardship at least once a year.
14% of those surveyed admitted that they had been forced to give up on medication at least once a year for the same reason. 37% of those surveyed testified that their financial situation is not good. According to data, there are 192,000 Holocaust survivors living in Israel. (Omri Efraim)
