Soldier in critical condition after club brawl

Zlalam Dasta, 20, sustains severe head injuries after brawl breaks out at local club. Police have yet to make arrest though security footage leads them to believe perpetrators are Eritrean

A soldier is in critical condition in the ICU at Petah Tikva's Belinson Medical Center following a club brawl a week ago.

 

The soldier, Zlalam Dasta, 20, is anaesthetized and connected to a respirator and his life is still in danger. Even though a week has passed since the incident, no suspects have been arrested in connection with the case though security footage from the club has led police to believe the perpetrators are Eritrean citizens.

Last Monday night Dasta came home on leave and went out with friends to a club in his hometown.

 

According to suspicions, a brawl broke out during the evening out and Dasta sustained serious head injuries.

 

Dasta is an only child, his mother Barka has been at his hospital bedside since he was admitted to hospital.

 

Dr. Ilya Kagan: "The young man arrived at the hospital in very serious condition, unconscious and was immediately rushed to the operating room so that pressure could be relieved from his skull. He is still in critical condition."

 

Petah Tikva police launched an investigation which will be carried out by a special unit. The police have taken the security camera footage as evidence and are now trying to identify and locate those responsible for the attack.
