The incident occurred, according to suspicions, on Monday evening. The youth, who resides in southern Israel with his mother, was sent to his father in Tirat HaCarmel due to criminal proceedings against him in relation to other charges.
According to the police, while the youth was outside his father's house he noticed the girl, who was inebriated, took advantage of her condition and raped her.
A complaint was filed with the police, which arrested the suspect who denied the allegations. The police claim a medical examination of the girl confirmed that she was raped.
The suspect's lawyer, Attorney Leonid Parhonik from the Public Defendor's Office, denied the allegations and said that "the youngster wanted to give the girl some water after she felt ill and fainted."
He also claimed he has an eye-witness account corroborating his client's version of events.
