Barbra Streisand. Concert tickets snatched up within days
Good news for Barbra Streisand fans: The legendary Jewish American singer, who will perform in Israel this summer, will likely give a second concert at the Tel Aviv's Bloomfield Stadium, Ynet has learned.
The initiative to add another concert during Streisand's visit to Israel follows the overwhelming demand for tickets for the original concert scheduled for June 20 at the same venue.
Ticket sales began last Friday, and most were snatched up within several days. A small number of tickets are still available for the original date.
Streisand, who will celebrate her 71st birthday in about three weeks, was originally invited to Israel to perform a song or two at the Israeli Presidential Conference in honor of President Shimon Peres' 90th birthday.
The efforts to bring Streisand to Israel have been going on for years, and her representatives even visited the country in the past to select a favored venue for a possible concert. Now that her arrival is official, fans may even get to enjoy two major performances.
