Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast said Israel was trying to drive a wedge between the countries in the region and called on the countries to cooperate with one another in order to foil the 'plan,' Fars TV reported.
It was further reported that the chairman of the Iranian parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, Wahid Ahmadi, said the "enemies of Islam are trying to create tension in Syria to divert the criticism against Israel." (Ynet)
