Canadian FM says Canada and PA have differences of opinion

Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird visited the Palestinian Authority and met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Prime Minister Salam Fayyad and Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki, and remarked the Canada and the Palestinian authority "have some profound differences of opinion on the way forward, but not on the need to go forward."

Al-Maliki said: "We've had friendly and honest talks. Canada is helping us to build our state." (AFP)
