President Shimon Peres took part in the "Every person has a name" ceremony at the Knesset where he said: "It's been 71 years since my family was massacred, and I will never forget what happened to them. The Nazis gathered the town's residents in the synagogue and brutally murdered them."
Peres added: "The train station transported half of the people to Israel and half of them to their deaths." (Aviel Magnezi)
