J'lem police chief: No violence against Kotel women
Jerusalem Police Chief Major General Yossi Pariente promised Tuesday that there would be no violence against the 'Women of the Wall' on Thursday. "violence will not be tolerated, we will not allow it to develop."
He further stated that the police would enforce the High Court's ruling that states that women are not allowed to wrap themselves in a prayer shawl and called for the struggle to be moved into the legal arena: "The Kotel is a place of prayer, not a place foe demonstrations and protests."
