Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz said Wednesday that the Finance Ministry's plan to cut transportation projects is "one of the greatest public scandals this country has seen."
Katz claimed that withdrawing the projects would cause grave economic damage which exceeds the financial benefit. The Finance Ministry rejected the claims saying the cuts are imperative in order to tackle the deficit, It was further stated that the projects will not be canceled but postponed.
