Palestinian official: Abbas, Fayyad to discuss resignation

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Salam Fayyad will meet Thursday to settle a dispute that could lead to the Fayyad's resignation, Palestinian sources reported.
Azzam al-Ahmad, a Fatah leader, said Fayyad's threat of resignation followed a dispute over internal policy and Fayyad's acceptance of the treasury minister's resignation, contrary to Abbas' opinion. (AFP)
