Two weeks after accusations of plagiarism against Grand Rabbi of France Giles Bernheim worked up a storm, the religious leader has abruptly resigned his position, French newspaper “Le Figaro” reported. This comes several hours after he stated he had no intention of stepping down.
Bernheim had been exposed for copying sections from other books into his new book, without giving proper credit. Initially, Bernheim, 62, denied the charges, but earlier this week he admitted he had indeed plagiarized. (Ynet)
