Syria to Security Council: Blacklist Islamic rebel group

Syria's Foreign Ministry called the United Nations Security Council to blacklist the Jabhat al-Nusra rebel group due to its al-Qaeda affiliations.

The United States blacklisted the group on December. The group announced its allegiance to al-Qaeda on Wednesday. (AFP)
