Israel's population crosses 8 million line

Israel population numbers about 8,018,000 people on the eve of the Day of Remembrance for Israeli Fallen Soldiers and Victims of Terrorism,the Central Bureau of Statistics reported.
According to the data, the Jewish population stands at somewhat more than six million, the Arab at 1.6 million. Since the last Independence Day 163,000 babies were born and 41,000 people died. About 19,500 olim immigrated to Israel. (Yaron Druckman)
