Israel's Ambassador to Peru Modi Efraim said that Independence Day events at Lima will kick off with a wreath laying ceremony at the monument for Peru's national heroes. It will be followed by a special reception which will include folk dancing and Israeli music.

"We'll wrap up the celebrations with a party at the Jewish sports club with falafel and Anticuchos," he said.
Yuval Fuchs, Israel's ambassador to Georgia, will celebrate his first Independence Day in the country. "On Memorial Day we will hold a ceremony at the embassy with the envoys, and members of the Israeli and Jewish community. On Independence Day eve we will celebrate with a campfire."

The embassy has decided to use the occasion to connect with the local community and has arranged a visit of Israeli medical clowns in local hospitals.
Israel's 65th anniversary falls on the second birthday of Israel's embassy in Ghana. Ambassador Sharon Bar-Li will host local senior officials including members of government, academics and top business men, at her residence. They will be joined by ambassadors and Israeli businessmen.
"The event will compete for the media's attention with the visit of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who will be In Ghana as part of his West Africa tour," she noted.
Bar-Li added that "the people of Ghana have a natural affinity towards Israel" noting that Israeli flags and Stars of David can regularly be seen in the streets.
