Report: Abbas to visit Turkey

Official Palestinian sources reported that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will arrive in Turkey next week and meet with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. They also said that Abbas will meet with President Abdullah Gul and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
On Sunday, Erdogan re-announced that he intends on visiting the Gaza Strip at the end of May; following his US visit. (AFP)
