Kerry: Time running out for 2-state solution

US Secretary of State John Kerry said a two-state solution between the Israelis and Palestinians must be reached in the next two years or the window of opportunity may be closed. Kerry said he sensed a seriousness of purpose in his meetings in Jerusalem and Ramallah.
Kerry stressed he wouldn't publicly lay out a plan for Mideast peace, but added that if nothing was worked out over the next two years, the chance for a peaceful agreement establishing an independent Palestine may be over. The secretary of state testified Wednesday before the House Foreign Affairs Committee. (AP)
