Minister Erdan calls for removal of Haifa ammonia tank

In light of the Texas explosion, in which a factory with hazardous material caught fire in a residential area, Home Front Defense and Communication Minister Gilad Erdan notified that an urgent budget must be allocated to remove the ammonia storage tank from the bay of Haifa and establish an ammonia production plant in the Negev, away from the population.
"Dangerous materials in proximity to the population are a ticking time bomb. It is our duty to invest the necessary budgets and urge the separation between hazardous materials and densely populated areas," said Erdan. (Moran Azulay)
