Report: Jordan asked US to deploy Patriot batteries on Syria border

Jordan has asked the US to deploy Patriot missile batteries along its border with Syria, the London-based Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper reported, citing Jordanian officials who are familiar with the issue.
According to the report, the US promised to transfer two Patriot batteries from Qatar and Kuwait and place them along the Jordan-Syria border. (Roi Kais)
