Ahmadinejad attends swearing-in of new Venezuela president

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad traveled to Caracas on Friday, to attend the swearing-in ceremony of elected Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro, the IRNA news agency said. Iran and Venezuela are allies. Ahmadinejad was last in Venezuela to attend the funeral of former president Hugo Chavez.
"Our relationship with Venezuela is the symbol of our relationship with all the countries of Latin America," Ahmadinejad said. "Iran has good relations with all the countries of Latin America. the circle of revolutionary governments is growing daily, through the ideas of Hugo Chavez." (AFP)
