In wake of March prisoner escape, prison commander dismissed

Israel Prison Service chief, Lieutenant General Aharon Franco, has decided to dismiss the Hadarim Prison commander, Colonel Dakar Eilat, effective immediately, in wake of the escape of prisoner Michael Yuroslavski from Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba last March.
The decision was reached in accordance with the recommendations formulated by the inquiry committee established to investigate the circumstances of the escape. In addition, punitive action will be taken against the two jailers whom Yuroslavski eluded. (Raanan Ben-Zur)
