Lapid instructs to assist airlines with security expenses

Finance Minister Yair Lapid said that he instructed Budget Department officials to find new ways to assist the airlines in their security expenses. "Open Skies is an accomplished fact. It is a good and right agreement for the citizens, the economy and the tourism in Israel."
Regarding the strike, Lappid said "it was completely unnecessary from the beginning and is still unnecessary now." On Sunday, IsraAir Airlines told Ynet that in exchange for full funding of the security expenses, the airlines are willing to stop the strike which began in light of the "Open Skies" agreement.
