Bat Yam Mayor Shlomi Lahiani responded to the decision to put him on trial pending a hearing on bribery charges and said: "I congratulate the State Prosecutor's Office for its decision to bring the investigation's data before an objective legal examination."
Lahiani added: "We'll wait for the Attorney General who's clean of the past's failures, hoping he'll bring everyone to their senses. The facts are clear to me, as is the hearing's outcome." (Eli Senyor)
