Knesset extends order aimed to curb Arab, Palestinian reunions

The Knesset approved the extension by one year of a temporary order regarding citizenship and entry into Israel, aimed to prevent family reunions of Israeli Arabs and Palestinians.

During the discussion the Arab factions and Meretz sounded severe criticism of the motion, after which it was approved by a majority of 73 to 18. Interior Minister Gideon Sa'ar said whoever accuses the move of racism "ignores the stance of the Supreme Court, which pronounced it constitutional." (Moran Azulay)
