Eritrean accused of assaulting pregnant partner

An indictment and a request for detention until the completion of proceedings were filed with the Netanya Magistrate's Court against a 27-year-old Eritrean who lives in Netanya for the cruel assault of his pregnant partner. According to the indictment, he attacked her while under the influence, banged her head on a glass window and kicked her in the face and stomach.
His friend tried stopping the assault but was unsuccessful. He only stopped due to passersby. The accused claimed that he only remembers pushing her "so that she would go home." (Raanan Ben-Zur)
