Head of the IDF Planning Division Maj.-Gen. Nimrod Sheffer said at a national security conference in Tel Aviv that "Syria is placing challenges we have not known in 40 years. The firing from there over the past months has not been seen in all of the past 40 years…"
Sheffer added that "the enlistment rate is decreasing, and this is a social challenge for the country. Soldiers are missing from the cyber and Iron Dome units, for example." (Yoav Zitun)
