MK Gal-On: It's time we recognize Armenian Genocide

"It is time that Israel recognizes the genocide of the Armenian people, as did 27 other countries," Meretz MK Zahava Gal-On said during a discussion initiated by the Knesset to mark the 98-year anniversary of the events, adding that reconciliation talks with Turkey were not a reason to deny the genocide.
"Reconciliation with Turkey is an important and strategic move," she stressed, "but it should not affect the recognition." (Moran Azulay)
