Abbas made honorary Naples resident
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas was made an honorary resident of the city of Naples during his visit to Italy. Speaking at the celebratory event, Abbas acknowledged Italy's support for the Palestinian appeal to the UN for recognition.
"We know you work for peace," Abbas said, "and Israel should seize this opportunity which may disappear in the future. We are working to establish a real peace, then Israel will be able to live in peace and security." (AFP)
