Yachimovich: Referendums are undemocratic

Opposition Chairwoman MK Shelly Yachimovich said at the opening of the Labor factional meeting that "the idea of a referendum contains no inkling of democracy. There are two parties that declared they won't sit in a government that will not conduct political negotiations. A referendum shows that there is no basis for these words."
Yachimovich also referred to the intended prohibition to hold strikes in places like the Ben Gurion airport and the seaports: "We will fight to protect the right to organize and strike." (Moran Azulay)
