Egypt worried about possible US attack on Syria

A senior Egyptian diplomat told the Hezbollah affiliated Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar that the United States is taking "serious steps" towards a military attack in Syria. According to him, these moves are worrisome to Egypt. He explained that this is an opening for international intervention in the region, which will lead to instability.
The diplomat also said that Israel will play a significant role in any military campaign against Syria. (Roi Kais)
