Arab League official: Halt settlement construction
Arab League Deputy Secretary General Mohamed Sabih said the body's delegation to Washington "demanded the US seek a permanent settlement of the Palestinian issue by and recognizing the 1967 borders."
Sabih said the delegation offered to put into action some of the clauses in the Oslo Accords regarding the possibility of minor land swaps, provided the areas are equal in quantity and type. (Roi Kais)
