Woman who set fire to traffic camera goes to officer training

The Haifa District Court decided that a young woman who set fire to a traffic camera would not be convicted, even though she admitted to the act. The woman was filmed driving 124 kmh last July. Realizing she had been caught on film, the woman returned to the location with a friend and burned the camera.

The woman's attorney told the court that she was about to begin IDF officer's training. Under a plea bargain, her conviction was quashed. She was ordered to perform 500 hours of community service and pay a NIS 25,000 fine. (Ahiya Raved)
