Lapid to Finance Committee: 2015 budget will be annual

Finance Minister Yair Lapid said in a meeting of the Finance Committee, “There is not any real control over the spendings and earnings of the State, over a period of two years many things can happen. So we will cancel the biennial budget," he said. 

"But we have gathered here to approve via interim order that the budget will be for 2013-2014. We emphasize that in 2015, we will return to an annual budget,” Lapid added. This is Lapid’s first appearance in front of the Finance Committee. (Zvi Lavi)
