Peri: No amendments to universal conscription bill
At the opening session of the committee tasked with formulating the universal conscription law proposal, the body's chairman, Science and Technology Minister Yaakov Peri, said he "will not let members of the committee to deviate from the outline of the emerging bill" regarding haredi enlistment to the IDF.
Peri added he intends to stick to the outline that was agreed upon during coalition talks, and has little time for amendments at this stage. (Atilla Somfalvi)
