Russia doesn't want 'another Iraq' in Syria, says envoy
The use of chemical weapons in Syria has not been conclusively proven, Russia's Ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Zasypkin told Hezbollah-affiliated Lebanese television channel Al Mayadeen. He hinted that Moscow does not currently support military intervention in Syria.
Zasypkin stressed that Russia "does not want a repeat of the Iraqi scenario in Syria. What we have heard so far regarding the chemical weapons are statements, not evidence." (Roi Kais)
