Lapid wants to exceed budget ceiling by 6.5 billion
A document attained by Ynet reveals that government will exceed the 2013 budget ceiling by NIS 6.5 billion ($1.8 billion) and cancel half of the budget cuts which were expected to come into effect this year.
The proposal, which will be put to vote on Sunday, will be presented by Finance Minister Lapid with the intent of mitigating the NIS 13 billion in budget cuts the government must undertake to stay under the ceiling demanded by the law by cutting them in half and allowing a one-time expenditure.
