Administrative detainee attacks Red Cros representative
An administrative detainee in Shikma Prison in Askelon attacked a Red Cross representative who came to visit him. According to suspicions, the detainee, a member of Fatah, dismantled the manhole cover in the toilet, struck the representative with it, causing him light head injury.
The injured man was treated in the prison's infirmary. The Prison Service opened an investigation. (Raanan Ben-Zur)
