Report: Israeli determined not to return from Lebanon

None

The Israeli who was arrested by the Lebanese army after crossing the border this week explained that he fled because he felt "persecuted and deprived," according to the Al-Akhbar newspaper, which is affiliated with Hezbollah. The paper said he was determined not to return to Israel.

Meanwhile, activists demanding the release of Lebanese leftist terrorist George Abdullah, who was sentenced by a French court to life in prison for the murder of Israeli diplomat Yaacov Bar-Siman-Tov, are calling on Beirut to "return the Israeli in exchange for (Abdullah's) release and information on the fate of Lebanese prisoners held in Israel."
