About 250 residents of Jerusalem, members of the “Awakening” movement, "Be Free Israel" and the Meretz party, are protesting in the city’s Safra Square against the closure of the currently in-construction “Cinema City” compound on Saturdays. The decision to close it was made by the Ministry of Finance, the developer and the municipality.
The demonstrators carried signs reading "Danger - construction site – a project that will be closed on Saturdays," and called on the mayor to intervene. (Noam Dvir)
