State Comptroller Shapira: Public should be involved in budget
Israel’s State Comptroller, retired Judge Joseph Shapira, referred to the budget proposal of the Finance Ministry and said, "The public should be involved in decision making for the formulation of the national budget."
Shapira added, "Especially in times like these, and in light of social protests, public forums must be held to discuss the budget." Earlier, Shapiro submitted the annual auditor's report to Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein. It is to be published Wednesday afternoon. (Aviel Magnezi)
