Police release Jerusalem mufti

Mufti Mohammed Hussein, the top Muslim cleric in the Palestinian territories, who was detained and interrogated earlier Wednesday by Israeli police, was released from custody.

Hussein was reportedly interrogated over Tuesday's disturbances at Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa Mosque. Police said the investigation of the case is onoing. (Noam Dvir)
