Report: Syria death toll exceeds 80,000

More than 80,000 died in Syria since the beginning of the revolt against the regime of Bashar Assad, according to a report by the pro-insurgency UK-based group Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
About half of the fatalities were civilians, the report claimed. (AFP)
