Political-security cabinet: Defense cuts will be toned down

The political-security cabinet decided that cuts proposed by the Finance Ministry to defense budget would be decreased to less than NIS 4 billion. It was also decided that their decrease would be implemented in such a way that it would not cause the increase of other state austerity measures.
Sources involved in the discussions declined to specify what the extent of the new cuts would be or how it would be possible to decrease them without implementing new cuts in their place. (Avital Lahav)
