The Knesset Committee for Constitution, Law and Justice approved on its first reading of an amendment ensuring that four female judges will serve as members of the committee to select judges.
Last December, the High Court issued an interim order preventing the convening of the committee following a petition regarding lack of representation of women among the ten members of the committee. (Ynet)
