Regulation passed prohibiting nighttime sale of alcohol

The Knesset’s Internal Affairs and Environment Committee approved two permanent orders to prevent drunkenness which replace temporary provisions that existed before.

The first regulation enacts a ban the sale of alcohol in businesses such as kiosks, convenience stores and gas stations between the hours of 11 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. The second ordinance states that businesses engaged in the sale of alcohol have an obligation to inform buyers regarding the dangers of alcohol consumption.
